Janice Rae (Wiltrout) Muth, 80, of Emmaus, died April 23, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Clifford E. Muth, who died July 11, 1998. Born in Kutztown she was the daughter of Arlene (Biehl) Wiltrout, of Kutztown, and the late Ralph Wiltrout.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Kutztown, and attended Kutztown Area High School.
She worked as a sewing machine operator at the former Kutztown Wallet Factory; as a stamper at the former Saucony Shoe Co., Macungie, and most recently, in the bindery department at Day-Timer, East Texas, for 16 years, until her retirement. Following her retirement, she worked as a busser at The Brass Rail Restaurant, Allentown, for four years.
She loved to cook, especially her delicious pot pie and baked beans. She loved her dog.
She is survived by her mother; children, Dean E. and his wife Susan M. (Boyle), of Macungie, Ty B. and his wife Diane A. (Lahn), of Allentown and Glynis R. and her husband James K. Stansfield, of Emmaus; brothers, Glenroy and his wife Gayle Wiltrout, of Bowers and Daryl Wiltrout, of Kutztown; four grandchildren, Shannon and her husband Brian Kacsur, Brendan, Rory and his girlfriend, Deidre Geroni and Nicholas and his wife Nicole; five great-grandchildren and her dog, Mya.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main St., Kutztown, 19530.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 26 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main St., Kutztown. Relatives and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. April 26 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Kutztown.
