Elizabeth I. Murphy, 86, died April 13, 2017, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Murphy.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Hobart and Stella (Strunk) Kern.

She enjoyed roller skating at Skateaway and watching college basketball games.

She is survived by a son, Joe and his wife Carol of Catasauqua; two brothers, Randy and his wife Judy Kern and Hobie and his wife Grace Kern; two grandsons, Joe and Hunter; and a great-grandson, Cody.

She was predeceased by two grandsons, Charles and Kevin Goleman; three sisters, Madelyn, Ruth and Elinor; and two brothers, Donald and David.
