W. Robert “Bob” Haug, 80, of Bethlehem, died April 16, 2016, at Fellowship Manor. Born in Butler, he was a son of the late Walter Albert and Catherine Harriet (Kenst) Haug. He was the husband of Shirley (Otterson) Haug for 59 years.
He was a 1954 graduate of Butler High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing at Allegheny College, where he was a running back on the football team.
He worked for Burron Medical and then opened Valley Medical and Surgical Supply, and later, Valley Healthcare.
He was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.
He was a former member of the Bethlehem Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was active in Big Brothers and Sisters of Easton and was a member of the Bethlehem Steel Breakfast Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sheri Lynn Stehly and her companion Jack Barras, Linda Robin Conti and Cynthia and her husband Joseph Fenza, all of Bethlehem; a sister, Sallie Bartley of Birmingham, Ala.; a brother, Jim and his wife Linda Haug of Dayton, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Tanya Conti and her husband Michael Vazquez and their daughter Amelia, Kristy Conti and Matthew R. and Robert A. Fenza.
