Richard J. Green, 98, of Bethlehem, died April 14, 2017, at Country Meadows, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Adam A. and Margaret (Schipke) Green. He was the husband of Doris Green for 63 years.
He was in the Army Air Corps, 441st P-38 fighter squadron, during World War II.
He was an inspector leader in the #4 machine shop at Bethlehem Steel prior to World War II. He was a sheet metal mechanic for 32 years until he retired in 1984.
He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #19 from 1948 until his death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debra and her partner Lisa Schultz of Philadelphia; two step-sons, Wayne and his wife Sharon Werner and William and his wife Lucille Werner, all of Bethlehem, four grandchildren; and five great-grand children.
He was predeceased by a stepson, Dale Werner of Bethlehem; and a brother, Val Green of Bethlehem.
Arrangements were made by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
