Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) celebrates its 30th annual ”Week of the Young Child,” April 23-29, main campus, Schnecksville, North Whitehall. Events are open to the public.
Linda Holliday, ventriloquist-magician, presents “Laugh and Learn” for preschool-age children, 10-11 a.m. April 19. A spring planting ceremony by children of the LCCC Early Learning Center at 11 a.m. follows the show.
The LCCC Teacher Education Office presents an anti-bullying workshop for early childhood education professionals with facilitator Nancy Dutt., 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 25.
The LCCC Teacher Education Program sponsors its annual “Saturday Seminar,” 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. April 29, featuring nationally-prominent educators. The keynote talk “From Play to Practice: Connecting Teachers Play with Children’s Learning” by Dr. Walter F. Drew.
A free workshop for high school students interested in Pre-K through 4th grade is set for April 21.
