The next school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. April 19 at the administration building.

On April 22, Salisbury High School will host the annual twirling, color guard, percussion and dance team competition in the gymnasium. The event will begin 1 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door.

The Salisbury baseball booster club will hold a car wash at Big Woody’s noon to 3 p.m. April 23.

A curriculum and technology meeting is scheduled 7 p.m. April 24 at Salisbury Middle School.

Pennsylvania System of School Assessment testing for math will begin again the week of April 24 through April 28 for students in grades three to eight. Encourage students to get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast to be able to do their best.

The next Harry S Truman Elementary School T-shirt day will be April 27.

HST 2016-2017 yearbooks are now on sale. Orders must be in by April 28. There is a cost. Cash and checks are accepted, with checks made out to HST PTO. All yearbooks will be delivered to the children in their classroom before the end of the year.

Beginning May 1, HST will offer breakfast for students to purchase 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. Information was sent home with students regarding this new program for students.

There will be an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. May 1, in the administration building.

May 1 marks the middle of the fourth marking period for both SMS and SHS.

The week of May 1 through May 5 is also PSSA testing for students in grades four and eight for science.

May 4 is the HST kindergarten invitation to lunch. Look for information to be sent home with your kindergarten students.

Looking forward, May 12 is a 1 p.m. early dismissal for HST and Western Salisbury Elementary schools. We are also approaching the time of the year for field day and spring concerts.

The Franko Farm yard waste site will be open for drop-off 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 22 and 25.
