South Whitehall Township is having its first, free Youth Fishing Derby at Covered Bridge Park 8 a.m.-noon April 22.

Children ages 15 and under will be competing in four age categories for the largest fish.

The Jordan Creek will be stocked with nearly 500 trout from the Lehigh County and Cedarbrook Co-op Nursery.

Registration begins 8 a.m. Fishing starts 8:45 a.m. and continues until noon.

Bring your own fishing equipment and bait.

Trixie’s Treats and Ruffin it Barbeque will both be on site.
