Kathryn A. Eck, 92, of Emmaus, died April 4, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Paul Eck, who died in 1972. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene (Merkel) Kemmerer.

She was a trimmer at the Emmaus Shirt Factory for many years until her retirement.

She was a former member of the Jerusalem Western Salisbury U.C.C. Congregation.

She was a former East Penn School District crossing guard, a member of the Mercantile Club and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by children, William C. Higgins and his wife Carol, of Emmaus, Charles E. Higgins and his wife Betty, of Allentown, Sharon K. and her husband Dennis Dries, of Allentown, Kenneth C. Higgins, of Emmaus and Roger K. Higgins and his wife Betty, of Wescosville; grandchildren, Patrick Kramer, Stephanie Jacobs, Alisa Adinger and Amy Higgins; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Dr. Jenna Higgins, in 2010.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. April 13 at Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
