Matthew Carl Hess, 42, died March 26, 2017. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Ted and Jinny (Miller) Hess.

He was a 1992 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He was a chef.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Ashley; a sister, Valerie and husband Dan Donohue; a brother, Dr. Stephen and his wife Lisa Hess; maternal grandfather, Bill Miller; and nieces and nephews Patrick, Sophia, Jolene and Parker.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Shirley Miller; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Esther Hess.
