Laudenslager, 99, formerly of South Whitehall Township, and Washington, D.C., died April 6, 2017, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall Township.
She was the wife of the late Francis C. Laudenslager.
Born June 7, 1917, in Middletown, Va., she was the daughter of the late James H. Haley and Lucie E. (Wrenn) Haley.
She was a patent examiner for the U.S. government in Washington, D.C., for 30 years and served as secretary of the Patent Office Society. Previously, she taught science and mathematics in the Montgomery County School District, Maryland, for three years.
After retiring in 1972, she moved to Allentown where she became actively involved in the U.S. Bicentennial Celebration in Lehigh County, the Emmaus and Parkland garden clubs, and was a life member of both the Pennsylvania and national garden clubs.
She formerly served on the State Board of Directors of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania.
Active in the life of her church, she was a member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, Orefield.
Her survivors include a nephew Donald L. Haley of Irma, S.C.; cousin Donald M. Laudenslager of Orefield.
She was predeceased by daughter Martha J. Marshall and six brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. April 20 in Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield. There will be no calling hours.
