Joan A. Kohler, 73, of Kutztown, died March 31, 2017, at home. She was the wife of Ralph C. Kohler for 52 years.

Born in Fullerton, she was a daughter of the late Russell E. Newhart and the late Isabell S. (Peters) Newhart.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jeffrey C. and his wife Lori of Maxatawny Township; a sister, Jean and her husband Robert Zellers of McClure; two grandchildren, Justin and his wife Mandy Kohler and Heather and her husband Tyler Schaeffer; and three great-grandchildren, Rylan, Eli and Brantley.

She was predeceased by a sister, Debbie; and a daughter, baby girl Kohler.
