Donald L. Fink, 86, of Germansville, died April 10, 2017, in his home.

Born Dec. 17, 1930, in Heidelberg Township, he was the son of the late Allen T. and Viola L. (Hill) Fink.

A lifelong farmer in Heidelberg Township, he also worked for the Northwestern Lehigh School District in the transportation and food service departments.

Active in the life of his community, he was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township, former fire chief of Goodwill Fire Co. No. 1, Germansville, previous volunteer with the former Northwestern Ambulance Corps., former Pennsylvania State Forest Fire Warden, member of the Junior Order of Mechanics, member of the Patriot Order of the Sons of America, and a former Boy Scout Master and Explorer Post Advisor of Post No. 88, Germansville.

His survivors include nieces and nephews, Robert Reitz (Carol), Janet Reitz Hopkins, Linda Reitz Brown (Donald), Shirley Hoffman Rennolds,

Janice Hoffman Steigerwalt (Robert) and Terry Hoffman (Patti).

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. April 13 in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with Pastor Karen A. Yonney officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Heidelberg Township.
