William Oliver Shafer, 69, of Fountain Hill, died March 29, 2017, in Cedarbrook - Fountain Hill. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Richard A. and Janet V. (Aldinger) Shafer.

He graduated from Northampton High School.

He was in U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

He was a self-employed landscaper and did interior and exterior painting most of his life until he retired.

He is survived by a sister, Patricia Dale of Northampton; three nieces, Brenda Michalska, Andrea Radowitch and Aneasha Dale; companion, Patricia Riccaboni of Fountain Hill and her children, David, Jenn, Kendra, and Tommy; a great-nephew, Hunter; and great-nieces, Liliana, Izabela, Emilia, and Charlotte.

Arrangements were made by James Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
