William F. Valitski, 80, of Hellertown, died March 21, 2017. Born in Fountain Springs, he was a son of the late William C. and Anna (Charney) Valitski. He was the husband of the late Loretta (Syzdek) Valitski.

He was a Villanova graduate.

He was an engineer for Philco Company and later for General Electric Space Center. He then worked for the former Burroughs Corporation, which became Unisys, for many years until he retired in 1997.

He was a member of Assumption of the B.V.M. R. C. Church, Bethlehem, where he was a former collection counter and volunteer. He attended Mass with his grandchildren and family at St. Thomas More R. C. Church, Allentown.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynne and her husband James Finnegan of Lower Macungie and Elizabeth and her husband Derek Root of New Market, Md.; a sister, Julia and her husband Mark Connelly of Texas; and four grandchildren, William, Seamus, Anson and Jason.
