James M. Putt, 69, of Lansford, died suddenly after a brief illness in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Janina G. (Keidle) Putt.
He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
He worked various jobs over the years and was a locksmith for many years. He was a volunteer driver for veterans that needed transportation to and from the VA Medical Hospital at Wilkes Barre.
He was a member of the Lehighton branch of the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon).
He is survived by a sister, Marcia Putt, who resides in Spain; several cousins in Utah; and friends in Lansford and his church.
