Mary L. Rarich, 97, formerly of Lower Macungie Township, Emmaus and Bloomsburg, died March 31, 2017, at the David A. Miller Personal Care Community at Phoebe, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Glenn L. Rarich, who died in 2005. Born in Mill Grove, she was the daughter of the late D. Irvin and Ada C. (Fetterman) Long.
She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus, where she taught Sunday School for 40 years as well as at Trinity U.C.C., Bloomsburg and Allentown.
She was a volunteer at the Phoebe Home for 47 years. She was a devotional leader at the Friendly Adult Sunday School Class. She was a member of the United Church Women, past president of the Emmaus Women’s Club and a member and a program chairwoman of St. John’s U.C.C. 10-2 Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by a son, David A., of Ridgewood, N.J. and his wife, Melanie; four grandchildren; two step-granddaughters.

Services will be held 10 a.m. April 7 at St. John’s U.C.C., 139 N. 4th St., Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 9 to 10 a.m. April 7 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
