Robert G. Deibert, 91, of Catasauqua, died March 13, 2017. He was the husband of the late Helen (Kappes) Deibert for 63 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Albert S. and Rhoda M. (Briggs) Deibert.

He was a graduate of Catasauqua High School and East Stroudsburg University.

He was in the Pacific campaign in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a teacher for the Catasauqua Area School District for many years.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.

He was inducted into the Catasauqua High School Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a basketball coach. He was involved in many stages of athletics in the school district.

He is survived by three daughters, Colleen and her husband Rudy Kloiber of Whitehall, Pat and her husband Ron Milisits of Bethlehem and Denise and husband Tom Katchur of Bath; two brothers, William and his wife Eleanor and Donald and his wife Marilyn; three grandchildren, Erik, Erin and Kyle; and three great-grandchildren, Michael, Emily and Sophia.

He was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
