Eleanor J. Wetherhold, 83, of Allentown, died peacefully April 2, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of the late Franklin E. Wetherhold.

Born in Siegersville, she was a daughter of the late Luther H. and Helen M. (Weaver) Kuhns.

A 1951 graduate of Allentown High School, she was a clerk for Warren Roofing and Siding for 11-1/2 years and was employed in the office of The Great Allentown Fair for 19 summers.

She was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church and a longtime member of the former St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church.

She was a former Sunday School teacher assistant for many years and church council member and was active in after-school programs.

Her survivors include a son Mike and wife, Sherry, of Breinigsville; daughter-in-law Molly Trueman of Michigan; grandchildren Rick, Shawn, Ryan, Kelli and Jessica.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard, and sister, Phyllis Faurl.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. April 7 in Stephens Funeral Home Inc. 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 10 a.m. until service time.

Interment will be in Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield.
