Join us for our spring book sale/bake sale this weekend. Our special early-bird preview is 4-7 p.m. April 6. There is a cost to attend the preview, but you can have first selection of our sale items.

Hours for the weekend sale are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Baked goods will be available all three days, and several raffles will be held.

Visit with Miss Veronica for a storytime and craft session 11 a.m. April 6, 13 and 20. All ages are welcome, and no preregistration is necessary.

Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. April 24. Our experts are here to help you with your game!

The library will be having a basket raffle on 4-7 p.m. May 6 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., Coplay, during the church’s chicken and ham dinner.

Baskets will be on display at the library for one week before the event.

There will be many special prizes available, so take a chance!

If interested in donating a basket or basket items for the raffle, contact the library at 610-262-7351.

The library is a drop-off point for Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative (WCHI), a group of concerned citizens who have joined together to address hunger needs of our fellow neighbors. We accept food and personal and toiletry items. If you have any questions about what you can donate, contact the library or a member of WCHI.

If you have any books or DVDs you no longer want, the library will gladly accept any donations toward our book sales. We regret we cannot accept VHS tapes, Reader’s Digest condensed books, encyclopedias or any items that are damaged or torn or have been damaged by mildew or smoke. All donations are tax-deductible. Donations are accepted any time during the library’s open hours. For safety reasons, do not put any donations in the outside book drop.

Don’t forget to stop in and see our new paperback book collection. Books are being added each week, and they are just waiting to be taken out. We are also beginning a large-print book collection; we have several items you can choose from. We will be adding more throughout the year.
