ANNIVERSARY

Girls on the Run – Lehigh Valley will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a champagne and cupcakes celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. April 6 at Hotel Bethlehem, 437 Main St.

The physical activity-based youth-development program for girls in third through eighth grades, locally sponsored by Diakon Child, Family & Community Ministries, teaches life skills through interactive lessons and running games and 5k running events.

Blondies Cupcakes, Cozze Cakes, Piece ’a Cake, and Trixie’s Treats entries will be judged by Jaccii Farris from WFMZ, Bart Yasso and Kathleen Jobes from Runners World, Samantha Layne from 95.1 WZZO, and Scott Habecker, chief operating and chief financial officer for Diakon. Peak TV is the event champagne sponsor.
