Katherine S. Rape, 50, of Lehigh Township, died March 17, 2017, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She was the wife and life partner of Rhonda Burian for 30 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Terry and Susie (Korsak) Rape.

She was a 1984 graduate of Northampton High School.

She was briefly in the U.S. Navy.

She worked for many years at Guardian Photo/Qualex photo finishing until the company closed. She then worked at Amazon.com.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay.

She was a member of American Legion Post 426 ladies’ auxiliary.

In addition to her wife and parents, she is survived by a brother, Marty and his wife Lisa and their children; in-laws, Sharon Burian and Gerald and Suzanne Burian; grandfather, David and his wife, Rosa Miller of Winter Haven, Fla.; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

She was predeceased by grandparents, Ellen and Karl Korsak; and Betty Miller.
