Anna Torbey, 103, formerly of Orefield, died March 25, 2017, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born in Egypt, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Sokol.

She was the owner of the former Bittner House, Slatington, and was also a salesperson in the book department at Kmart, Allentown.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Northampton.

Survivors include a daughter Patricia Greene of Whitehall; daughter-in-law Grace Torbey of Slatington; grandchildren Sherri, Michele, Gary and Dennis; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son Dr. Edward Torbey, brother Charles Sokol and sister Mary Puchyr Hankee.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. March 31 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton, PA 18067.

Calling hour will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, formerly Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home.
