Anna Torbey, 103, formerly of Orefield, died March 25, 2017, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born in Egypt (Whitehall Township), she was a daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Sokol.

She was the owner of the former Bittner House, Slatington. She was a book department salesperson at Kmart, Allentown.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Greene of Whitehall; a daughter-in-law, Grace Torbey of Slatington; four grandchildren, Sherri, Michele, Gary and Dennis; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Dr. Edward Torbey; a brother, Charles Sokol; and a sister, Mary Puchyr Hankee.

There will be a calling hour 9:30-10:30 a.m. March 31 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1343 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.
