Kaci MacKenzie Kunkel, 18, of Kempton, died on March 18, 2017, in a single-vehicle crash in Lynn Township.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Jonathan E. (Sheila) Kunkel of Emmaus and Shawna L. (Cohick) Kunkel of Kempton, with whom she resided.
A senior at Kutztown Area High School, she also attended Berks Career and Technology Center, Rec-N-Power program, Leesport.
She also worked part time as a hostess at Katie’s Family Restaurant, New Tripoli, and as a farm hand at the Donamyc Dairy Farm, Kempton.
In addition to her parents and stepmother, she is survived by a sister Taylor J. Kunkel of Bernville; stepbrother Louis C. Roche of Emmaus; maternal grandparents Larry and Linda (Merkel) Cohick of Kempton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Earlin E. Kunkel and Sylvia (Walker) Koenig.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. on March 25 in Ebenezer United Church of Christ, 7293 Decatur St., New Tripoli, with calling hours beginning 11 a.m.
The Rev. Kevin E. Fruchtl will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kempton Fire Co., 2461 Route 143, Kempton, PA 19529 and/or to the Community Fire Co., 7242 Decatur St., New Tripoli, PA 18066.
