Joanne M. Phillips, 63, of Walnutport, died March 17, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born May 15, 1953, in Springfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Barbara (Depping) Bernier.

A graduate of Holyoke College, she was a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital, Allentown, before retiring. She was also a certified masseuse.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include a son Matthew Phillips of Bethlehem; former husband, William Phillips, of Macungie; aunt, June Byrnes of Holyoke, Mass.; cousin Linda Forris Day of Three Rivers, Mass.; caregiver Regina P. Sharpe and extended family of Pond View Manor, Walnutport.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. March 23 in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Richard James officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
