Sandra L. “Sandy” Hornberger, 75, of Salisbury Township, died March 17, 2017, with her husband by her side, at the VNA of St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Robert S. “Bob” Hornberger, having celebrated 50 years of marriage last June. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Dorcas (Templen) Shaffer. She lived in Emmaus much of her youth, where she graduated from Emmaus High School.

She worked as a legal secretary, most recently for Attorneys Edmund G. Hauff and Alfred K. Hettinger, Allentown, retiring in 2002.

A musical theater lover, she was an active member of the Municipal Opera Company, Allentown, with which she performed numerous shows and where she not only met her husband but other life-long friends as well.

She is survived by her husband; son, Miles and his wife Melissa; grandson, Zachary, of Emmaus and son, Kirk and his husband Mark Usher, of Winthrop, Mass.
