Robert H. Strouse, 88, of Emmaus, died March 16, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (Jacobs) Strouse. They just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Horace B. and Alma C. (Erney) Strouse.

He was a self-employed appliance service technician.

He was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Carol and her husband Burl Hosier, and Karen and her husband W. Michael Collier; sons, Douglas and his wife Robin, and Mark; sister, Jean and her husband Tony Lokez; brother, Jim and his wife Mary; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Jeffrey and Matthew.

Contributions may be made to Karen L. Collier for the purpose of obtaining a memorial plaque at Lehigh Valley Hospice.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
