She is a ninth grader at the school and is involved in the Debate team and Literary Club. She also dances at Muhlenberg Community Dancer Center for the past 12 years and plays the piano. Salisbury High School has many exciting activities planned during the month of March for both students and members of the community.

Earlier this month, the SHS Theatre program presented, “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.” The musical was a comical tale of Charlie Brown who was going through his day. Throughout the musical, Charlie Brown had many unexpected failures including losing a baseball game, embarrassing himself in front of the girl he liked and procrastinating on a book report. The musical was joyful and comical, but it wasn’t until the last line of the play when Charlie Brown’s friends say, “You’re a good man, Charlie Brown” that the audience was truly moved.

Congratulations to the SHS swimmers who went to states March 16. Mahlon Reihman is the state champion in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:39.28. Daniel Bonge is the state champion in the 100-yard fly with a time of 49:94, which is a record time for the school. The members of the boys 200-yard freestyle relay team, Arthur Oliver, Bonge, Reihman and Ben Wiener received second place.

The Student Government Advisory dodgeball tournament is March 23. Teams throughout the Lehigh Valley will compete to win a trophy. This year’s teams include Whitehall, Catasauqua, Southern Lehigh, the SHS faculty and the WFMZ 69 All-Stars. Tickets can be purchased at the door. All proceeds will go to SGA.

Finally, a college information night will be held 6:30 p.m. March 28.

A regular school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. March 27 at Western Salisbury Elementary School following the 7 p.m. curriculum and technology meeting.
