Darryl Wayne Peters, Ph.D., 69, died March 6, 2017. He was the husband of Beverly Peters. He was born and grew up in Emmaus.
He graduated from Emmaus High School. He went on to San Diego State University for his undergraduate work in chemistry followed by Ohio State University for his doctorate in chemistry.
His primary love was his family followed by his work and cars.
He was a leader in the field of applied chemistry in various high tech applications throughout his business career.
He is survived by his wife; children, Stacey Ruch, Chris Mangin, Wendy Sunderland and Andrew Humphrey; nine precious grandchildren; brothers, Douglas, of Emmaus and David, of Fairfield; nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made in his memory to esophageal cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.
A private memorial service will be held.
