Willard M. Miller, 79, of Zionsville, died March 8, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy L. (Geiger) Miller. They celebrated 59 years of marriage Nov. 23, 2016. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Otto S. and Beulah (Batman) Miller.
He was a graduate of Upper Perkiomen School District, Class of 1955 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Zionsville.
He was a carpenter by trade, working for different companies in the Lehigh Valley, retiring from International Custom Homes. Prior, he worked at The Boyertown Casket Company.
He was a lifetime member, former assistant chief and held various elected positions at the Upper Milford Western District Fire Company #19.
He coached baseball for many years with the Upper Milford Youth Association, was a member of the Grundsow Lodge and headed several clubs.
He enjoyed woodworking, model trains, crocheting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife; children, Diane L. and her husband Carl Simmons, of Boyertown, Dale A. and his wife Lyn Nicolette, of Emmaus and Scott D. and his wife Tina Marie, of Steinsburg; sister, Pauline Fritz; grandchildren, Stacey and her husband Joshua Schmale, Kyle Simmons and fiance Erica Joyce, Jessica and her husband Peter Smith and Andrew and his wife Andrea (Skovira); great-grandchildren, Liliana and Landon Smith and Avery and Aiden Miller; grandpuppy, Skedaddle.
