Herman J. Dietrich, 94, of Breinigsville, died March 13, 2017, in Lehigh Commons, Macungie.
He was predeceased by his first wife Esther R. (Scherer) Dietrich and second wife A. Christine (Warmkessel-Snyder) Dietrich.
Born in Breinigsville, he was a son of the late John P. and Katie (Smith) Dietrich.
He was a truck driver for the Morning Call newspaper for 17 years before retiring.
He loved farming and raised turkeys for 50 years and he also raised pigs and chickens for many years.
He enjoyed cider making and had a huckster route.
His survivors include sons Kermit and wife, Patricia, Carl, Ernest and wife, Karen; stepson the Rev. Rodger Snyder; eight grandchildren; andseven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Irwin, and stepson Wayne Snyder.
Services will be 11 a.m. March 17, at St. John’s UCC, 1027 Church St., Fogelsville 18051.
A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the church.
