Leona “Sally” Eilene Brazil, 85, of Danielsville, died Feb. 19, 2017. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Brazil.

Born in Arena, N.D., she was a daughter of Romanian immigrants, David and Freda (Grasley) Schock.

A Jehovah’s Witness minister’s wife, she volunteered with the denomination’s international headquarters staff for 28 years. She served in California, Missouri, New York and Nevada. She played the guitar and the piano and sang.

She is survived by a son, Joseph M. and his wife Esther; four grandchildren, Jabin and his wife Jody, Jerid and his wife Marie, Justin and Jana and her husband Caleb Oliver; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Judah Brazil.
