Harvey W. Koch, 87, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 28, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Lorraine J. (Cook) Koch were married 62 years last November.

Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Harvey S. and Marian (Henn) Koch.

He worked for Mohr’s Orchard for many years and part time at Shoemaker’s Orchard.

He also worked at the former Olin Co., Fogelsville.

A member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

His favorite pastimes were gardening and spending time outdoors.

He loved cheering on his beloved Eagles and Phillies, and he enjoyed spending time with his family and was proud of his three grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lori A. Moshyedi of Potomac, Md.; brother Leroy and wife, Doris, of New Tripoli; grandchildren Lauren, Emily and A.J.; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Harvey Jr., a brother Edward, and a sister Betty Weil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. March 10 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1879 Applewood Road, Orefield, 18069.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.
