Fern A. Gilly, 94, formerly of Bethlehem, died March 4, 2017, at her residence at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Michael F. Gilly.
Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late John D. and Margaret (Brewen) Artz.
She was a 1942 Liberty High School graduate.
She worked in packaging and assembly for B. Braun Medical, Bethlehem, for many years before she retired. During World War II, she worked in the offices of Bethlehem Steel.
She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, North Catasauqua, for many years.
She is survived by two sons, John and his wife Vicki and Joel and his wife Madeline; a daughter, Joann and her husband Sam Heffner; and eight grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Russell Artz.
There will be a viewing 10 a.m. March 9, followed by a service 11 a.m., at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
