Charlotte Ann Bechtel, 75, of Schnecksville, formerly of Upper Gwynedd, died March 1, 2017, in her home.

Born Aug. 26, 1941, in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late James Watson and Elizabeth Clara (Kurian) Johnson.

She was a registered nurse at Valley Forge Medical Center for 30 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

Her survivors include children Sister Eileen R. Bechtel, with whom she resided, Jacqueline E. Reeves of Oreland, Patrick S. Bechtel and Barbara K. Wheeler, both of Pottstown; sister Pearl Waldspurger of Illinois; close friend Sister Bernadette L. Rosina of Schnecksville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
