Cementon/Egypt: Pasta on Scouts’ menu Saturday

Boy Scout Troop 59, Egypt, will be holding an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 4-7 p.m. March 11 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. The church is located at 4331 Main St., across from Eberhardt Motors. The building is handicapped accessible.

There also will be homemade baked goods for sale. Children under the age of 5 eat for free. Dine in or take out.

Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit the troop’s general and equipment funds.

Shepherd of the Hills’ youth group is selling nut rolls. The flavors are nut, poppy, lekvar, apricot and raspberry. Delivery will be at the church April 2.

Save the date! Egypt Memorial Park will be once again be hosting the Curt Simmons Day festival and parade June 3.

Also, new this year, the park will be presenting an old-fashioned family fun carnival July 19-22. The Egypt park used to have carnivals back in the 1970, and organizers cannot wait for it to come back this year.

Egypt Community Church is hosting a bus trip to a production of “Jonah” at Sight & Sound Theatre June 24. The cost of ticket includes the bus, ticket for the show and a tip for the bus driver.
