David A. Unser, 46, of Allentown, died Feb. 27, 2017, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief unexpected illness. He was the husband of Lori (Yasenchak) Unser. They celebrated 18 years of marriage Sept. 26. Born in Allentown, he was the son of David N. and Charlotte (Essig) Unser.
He earned an Master in Business Administration degree from DeSales University in 2010, his Bachelor of Science degree from Bloomsburg University in 1995; an associate degree from Montgomery County Community College in 1992 and was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1988.
He worked as a buyer/planner for most of his career, most recently employed by CECO Environmental of Telford.
He enjoyed nature, especially on a motorcycle ride with friends. He was passionate about science. He pursued the answers to “life’s big questions” often through avid philosophical discussion or an anecdote about Star Trek and Star Wars. He took pride in his relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
He is survived by his wife; parents; brother, Dan and his wife Maureen; niece, Madalyn; aunts, uncles and cousins; furry friends, Rudy and Charlie.
