Barbara A. Wachter, 70, of Eastern Salisbury Township, died Feb. 11, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of James B. Wachter. They would have celebrated 43 years of marriage April 20. Born in Wilson, Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late Theron K. and Margaret E. (Person) Lutz.

She received a bachelor of science degree from the College of St. Francis, Class of 1992, graduated from Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1967 and was a graduate of Wilson High School, Class of 1964.

She retired as a senior care manager for Magellan Behavioral Health in Bethlehem in 2015 after 13 years of service. She previously worked for the Allentown Hospital Clinic Department as an associate head nurse, the Allentown Hospital Emergency Room as a staff nurse, The Budd Co. as an industrial nurse and for Hahnemann Hospital as a head nurse.

She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers fan.

She is survived by her husband; furry companions, Max and Millie.
