Wellesley Rose Keal

Wellesley Rose Keal, 62, of Kempton, formerly of Lenhartsville, died Feb. 26, 2017, at home surrounded by family and friends after a three-year battle with cancer.

She was the wife of Ian K. Keal.

Born in Bryn Athyn, she was a daughter of John “Jack” Rose of Pittsburgh and the late Sarah Sally (Pendleton) Rose.

She was an organist and choir director at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Shoemakersville.

In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by children, Solomon J.(Tirah) Keal of Bryn Athyn, Roxanne K. (Peter) Genzlinger of Kempton and Tamar L. (S. Dandridge) Cole of Lenhartsville; sisters Andrea Cahoon, Denver, Colo., Natalie (Tony) Cowley and Sylvia Rose, both of Pittsburgh; and 13 grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. March 4 in Kempton New Church, 583 Hawk Mountain Road, Kempton.

The Rev. Mark Alden will officiate. A potluck lunch will follow.
