Dale F. Bower, 81, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 18, 2017.

He was the widower of Rita M. (Gmoser) Bower.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Elwen and Catherine (Beauchner) Bower.

A road adjuster for Allstate Insurance for 29 years before retiring in 1994, he worked for various body shops in Allentown for 15 years.

An active member of St. Paul’s Church, Seiberlingsville, he was on the consistory for many years and past secretary of the cemetery board.

He loved woodworking and gardening.

His survivors incldue a son, Steve E. and wife, Pat, of New Tripoli; daughters Donna L., wife of Carl Kistler, of Kempton, Carol A., wife of Joe O’Connor, of New Tripoli, Melissa M., wife of David Levan, of Schnecksville, and Dana D, wife of Richard Snyder, of Kutztown; brother Charles of New Tripoli; grandchildren Steve Jr., Joshua, Daryl, Jonathan, Jamie, Mitchell and Dylan; great-grandchildren Nicolaus, Zachary and one expected in May; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother Elwen Bower Jr.
