Rolland W. Rodgers

Rolland W. Rodgers, 96, of Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, died Feb. 5, 2017, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Ruth A. (Smith) Rodgers.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Oliver and Margaretta C. (Dietrich) Rodgers.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He and his late wife founded, in 1955, the Lighting Fixture and Supply Company, Allentown. He was the owner and president until he retired in 1992.

He was a past president of Allentown Exchange Club. He was active with the Masons.

He is survived by three children, David and his wife Maryann, Susan and her husband James Brophy and Brenda and her husband Gary Baxter; six grandchildren, Lisa, Michele, Janice, Michael, Sarah and Laura; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Calma Robbins.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m. in the parlor, followed by memorial services 11 a.m., both March 18 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104.
