Robert D. “Fats” Deily, 71, of Whitehall, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 15, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of Gail E. (Nuss) Deily. They were married 49 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harold and Viola (Remer) Deily.

He worked as a custodian for the Allentown School District for 10 years and later was the co-owner of Mobile Container Services of South Central New York with his wife.

He is survived by his wife; son, Robert M. and his wife Sheri, of Piedmont, Okla.; daughter, Jenifer Gomez, of Coplay; stepdaughter, Debbie Young, of Allentown; nephews, Cory and John; 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald and grandson, Axavier.
