Julia (Buchen) Sterner, 96, of Macungie, died Feb. 14, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert David Sterner who died Nov. 19, 2003. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Tessa (Bandura) Buchen.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

She retired from Allen Organ Co. in 1988.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Macungie V.F.W.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine and her husband Dan Burgess, of Gordonville; sons, William and his wife Diane, of Macungie, Donald and his wife Debra, of Zionsville; siblings, Mary Rumsfield, of Macungie, Helen Buchen, of Zionsville, Harry Buchin, of Macungie, John Buchen, of Zionsville, Joseph Buchen, of Zionsville; four grandchildren, Angie Schaffer, Jenna Romig, Esperanza Dow, Heidi Acevedo; nine great-grandchildren, Caroline and Mackenzie Schaffer, Christopher and Harper Romig, Lynnae and Nathaniel Dow, Jeremiah, Quincy and Alicia Acevedo. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Schwartz.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Center for Vision Loss, 845 West Wyoming St., Allentown, 18103 and/or Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, 4234 Dorney Park Road, Allentown, 18103 and/or Grace Lutheran Church.
