Hokendauqua: Scholarship applications are due soon
In continuation of the Bob Warke-Dale Horn Scholarship Program, Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association (HPPA) will again be awarding two $1,000 scholarships.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a Class of 2017 high school-eligible graduate, plan to continue your education in the fall of 2017 and participate in HPPA’s baseball, softball or basketball youth programs. You must complete and return the scholarship application form to HPPA by Feb. 28.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church members and volunteers are planning their spring basket social, set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 4 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 5. More than 100 baskets and many gift cards will be on display.
The drawing will be held 1:30 p.m. March 6. You do not need to be present to win.
The kitchen will be open both days.

Young actors in grade 2 through 8 are being sought for Camp Rhythmo’s production of “Wizard of Oz,” staged April 7 and 8. All children will be cast.
Rehearsals begin the week of March 12 in Parker Hall of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
