Gordon R. Beidleman

Gordon “Buster” R. Beidleman, 80, of Schnecksville, died Feb. 8, 2017, at his home. He was the husband of Janis S. (Yaich) Beidleman for 60 years.

Born in Hokendauqua, he was a son of the late William J. E. Beidleman and the late Arlene M. (Herb) Beidleman.

He was a corporal in the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

He was a forklift mechanic for 42 years at the former Tarkett Inc., Whitehall, until he retired in 1999.

He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt.

He was a former president of PACE Local Union 691, a life member of PACE International Union 20691, a member of American Legion Post 426, Coplay, a past member of VFW Post 7293, Whitehall, a board member and life member of Egypt Park Association and a member of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian S. and his wife Kathy Beidleman of Kunkletown; a daughter, Karen J. and her husband Brian Costenbader of Whitehall; six brothers, William and his wife Rosalie Beidleman of Whitehall, Randall and his wife Linda Beidleman of Allentown, Terry and his wife Linda Beidleman of Austinville, Va., David and his wife Shirley Beidleman of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Kim and his wife Renee Beidleman of Northampton and Jeffery and his wife Lisa Beidleman of Old Town, Fla.; three sisters, Etheleen Wasko of Kyle, Texas; Judith and her husband Mark Hills of Laury’s Station and Sharon and her husband Robert McFetridge of Whitehall; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was predeceased by three brothers; Billy, Robert and Barry; and three sisters; Betty Lou Balla, Sandra Zbaudin and Rosemarie Heckman.

Contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice or the Egypt VFW Post 7293 Honor Guard, both c/o the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.
