Coplay Garden Club meets 7 p.m. this evening, Feb. 23, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St. Hal Metz, from Carriage House Design, will demonstrate how to design a flower garden.

It will be a packed house at American Club of Coplay Feb. 25 for the tribute show to Elvis and Neil Diamond. Doors open 5:30 p.m. A hot buffet will be served 6:15-7 p.m. The show runs 7-10 p.m.

The 2016 show featured Elvis and Roy Orbison tribute singers.

Set for 9:45 a.m. Feb. 26 is an aerobics class in the gymnasium of borough hall, 98 S. Fourth St. No registration is required. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., will embark on a capital campaign to help fund its elevator project. The Rev. Mgsr. John J. Martin, pastor, said the new addition to the church and parish hall ensures all parishioners will be able to join with their parish family for all events and programs.

The project is moving forward, resulting from positive feedback of a survey church members filled out. Two informational town hall meetings are scheduled: 1-2:30 p.m. Feb. 26 and 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 28.

At 7 p.m. Feb. 27, the Coplay Community Days committee gets down to business with plans for 2017’s Community Days, a three-day event closing out August and the summer for many.

The borough planning commission is set to meet 7 p.m. Feb. 28 in council chambers of borough hall. The community plaza project at Second and Chestnut streets will be on the agenda.
