David M. Krause, born in 1940 to August and Hazel Krause of Franklin Street, Pottstown, has died.

He graduated Pottstown High School in 1958 as class president and captain of the football team.

He was the father of Kristina Krause, wife of Joseph Wathen of Glendale, Calif., David M. Krause, husband of Lori Krause of Slatington, and Kevin Krause, husband of Amber Krause of Pottstown.

The longtime companion for 27 years of Bonnie Capizzi of Telford, he was a grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of five.

He was predeceased by his brother Jared Krause of Pottstown.

He was twice Exulted Ruler of the Pottstown Elks Lodge 814 and a former employee of Lockheed Martin, Valley Forge.

He was the best dad and golfer, ever. Kevin and I will swear to that.

A memorial will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Feb. 18 at the Elks Lodge, 61 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

There will be memories, food and refreshments available.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
