William G. Lauffer Jr., 85, formerly of Emmaus, died Feb. 10, 2017, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Joan (Balze). They were married 64 years. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late William G. and Norma (Cooper) Lauffer.
He was a vice-president of Sedgewick James Insurance Brokerage.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and received his bachelor’s degree from Trinity College, Hartford, Conn.
He was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
He is survived by his wife; children, Nancy Anderson, John and Karen; granddaughters, Jamie and her husband Shane McCann and Janie and Camryn Richmond; great-grandson, Keegan McCann; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughters-in-law, Monica Ford and Johanna Richmond and sister, Jean and her husband, Frank Prina.
