Ronald V. DeMaio Sr., 75, of Alburtis, died Feb. 11, 2017, in his residence. He was the husband of Carole (Amato) DeMaio. They celebrated 54 years of marriage Dec. 2, 2016. Born in Hackensack, N.J., he was the son of the late Samuel Sr. and Margaret (Yenish) DeMaio.

He worked as an auto mechanic and owned his own gas station for many years.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Ron V. Jr. and husband Ken Shutter, David and his wife Debbie; daughter, Marie and her husband Edward Schroeder; brothers, Samuel Jr. and George; sister, Betty LaManna; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 16 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, 18032. A viewing will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 16 in the funeral home.
