Joseph J. Sentiwany Sr., 87, of Northampton, died Feb. 2, 2017. He was the husband of the late Catherine A. (Maurek) Sentiwany.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Pauline (Gaston) Sentiwany.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He worked at General Electric and Black & Decker for many years.

He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

He was a member of the Young At Heart senior group, Tri-Boro Sportsmen Association and American Legion Post 739, Hokendauqua.

He is survived by a son, Joseph Jr.; a brother, James and his wife Kathy; a sister, Margaret Bocich; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Szep; and a brother, John.
